Contest Terms and Conditions

1. Organizer

The organizer of the contest is LEAN-CODERS GmbH, Hainburger Straße 33, 1030 Vienna (“LEAN-CODERS”). By registering for the game, participants accept these terms and conditions.

2. Period

The game is online from October 13, 2026 to November 15, 2026. Only points scored from October 13, 2026 to the deadline of November 2, 2026, 10:00 AM (Austrian time) will count for the contest. After the deadline, you can continue playing; these points will not be counted for the contest.

3. Eligibility

1. Natural persons aged 14 and older residing in Austria are allowed to participate.
2. Employees of LEAN-CODERS and individuals involved in the development or execution of the game are excluded.
3. Participation is free and not tied to a purchase, order, or newsletter subscription.
4. Each person may only participate with one game account or email address. You can play as often as you like during the period, but only the best result will be counted.

4. Procedure

To participate, players register in the game with a freely chosen display name and an email address. The display name does not have to be a real name and will appear on the public scoreboard. Display names that are offensive, discriminatory, or illegal, or violate third-party rights, may be changed or removed by LEAN-CODERS.

The contest will be promoted via social media. Participation is exclusively through our website. Following our social media channels, sharing posts, or tagging others is not a requirement for participation.

5. Winner Determination

Winners are the three participants with the highest scores on the scoreboard by the deadline of November 2, 2026, 10:00 AM. In case of a tie, the earlier score will decide.

The scoreboard status secured by LEAN-CODERS at the deadline is decisive. Only one prize will be awarded per person.

6. Prizes

Prizes include:

• 1st Place: A LEAN-CODERS T-shirt and a Halloween sticker pack
• 2nd Place: A writing set (notepad and pen) and a Halloween sticker pack
• 3rd Place: A Halloween sticker pack

Cash redemption, exchange, or transfer of the prize to others is not possible.

7. Notification and Handover

Winners will be notified by email within 7 days after the contest ends. If they do not respond within 14 days, the prize will be forfeited, and LEAN-CODERS may determine an alternate winner. Handover will occur by mail / in person / digitally; for this, LEAN-CODERS may request name and mailing address.

8. Exclusion

LEAN-CODERS may exclude participants who violate these terms, provide false information, use multiple accounts, or influence the results through technical means (e.g., bots, scripts, manipulation of the game or data transmission). Any prize already awarded may be revoked in this case.

9. Cancellation and Changes

LEAN-CODERS reserves the right to interrupt, change, or terminate the contest for important reasons, especially in case of technical disturbances or suspicion of manipulation. Participants will have no claims arising from this.

10. Liability

LEAN-CODERS is only liable for intent and gross negligence; liability for personal injury remains unaffected. No guarantee is given for uninterrupted availability of the game or for loss or delay in data transmission.

11. Data Protection

Responsible Party: The entity responsible for processing personal data in connection with this contest is LEAN-CODERS GmbH, Hainburger Straße 33, 1030 Vienna. If you have questions about data protection, you can reach us at hello@lean-coders.at.

What Data: If you participate in our online game “TRICK OR LEAN – Pumpkins in the air, Candy everywhere,” we process your email address, the display name you choose, and your game results (score, time). In case of winning, we additionally process your name and, if necessary for shipping, your mailing address.

Purpose: Conducting the game and contest, displaying on the scoreboard, determining and notifying winners, handing over prizes, and protecting against manipulation. The data will only be used for the execution and processing of the contest.

Legal Basis: Art. 6 para. 1 lit. b GDPR (Conducting the contest according to the terms and conditions). To prevent manipulation and abuse, we rely on our legitimate interest (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR).

Scoreboard: Your display name and score are visible on the public scoreboard for all visitors of the game page. You choose the display name yourself; you do not have to use a real name. Your email address will never be published.

Recipients and Hosting: The game is operated by us and hosted on our servers at Hetzner Online GmbH, Germany (see section “Provision of the online offer and web hosting” in our privacy policy). Your data will generally not be shared with third parties. If necessary for shipping a prize, the required data will be transmitted to a shipping service provider. There will be no transfer to third countries.

Storage Duration: We will delete all data collected during the game after the game ends on November 15, 2026, as soon as the prizes have been handed over, at the latest by December 31, 2026, unless legal retention obligations or other legal reasons prevent deletion. The scoreboard will be removed at the same time.

Newsletter: If you also subscribed to our newsletter during registration, the section “Newsletter and electronic notifications” in our privacy policy applies. This consent is voluntary and not a requirement for participation.

Your Rights: You have the right to access, correction, deletion, restriction of processing, and data portability, as well as the right to object to processing under the legal requirements. You can end your participation at any time and request the deletion of your data, e.g., by email to hello@lean-coders.at. This will also end your participation in the contest. Further information about your rights and your right to complain to the data protection authority can be found in the section “Rights of the affected persons” in our privacy policy.

This information is also part of our privacy policy (section “Online game and contest ‘TRICK OR LEAN’”).

12. Final Provisions

The legal process regarding the determination of winners is excluded. Austrian law applies. Should individual provisions be ineffective, the validity of the remaining provisions remains unaffected.
